A Game of Thrones: The Graphic Novel: Volume One

This is a straight graphic adaptation of the first book in the Game of Thrones Series. It stays remarkably faithful to the books, but in its sexy graphical format, it makes one of the most dense and complicated series of book in the last decade or so much more accesable to those who dont have the patience or time to sit down and read the 5ooo odd pages contained in the books.

That, of course is not to say that fans of the books wont get a kick out of these graphic novels. There is a few cool little snippets of info included in this that are not in any of the other comics or the books themselves.

It includes a new preface by the man himself, George R.R. Martin, and some very interesting early drawings of many scenes and characters.

The main complaint that some people have is that they don’t like the art style and direction. I have included a little preview of it below to give you an idea of what that comics looks like, and if you visit the link, you can read a few pages to give you a proper look and allow you to decide weather you will appreciate it or not.

Personally I loved the art style, particularly the White Walkers, and it reads as easy as watching the HBO TV series.

Give them a chance, you might be pleasantly surprised.
